The menu is tailored to season. The restaurant is in the White Guide. History Sävargården is situated at the top of a hill at Gammlia, less than fifteen minutes walk from downtown Umea. Sävargården is a building associated with many memorable events in the Umea-area. It was built in 1806 as the mansion of a sawmill at Sävar, 16 kilometres north of Umeå. The mansion, built in late Gustavian style is representative of the higher classes' residences that were built at worksdrifts along the coast of Västerbotten from the mid-18th century well into the 19th century.
